I just adore the colour of the Jacaranda tree. This is the time of year in Sydney that they are a bloom with colour. This one is two houses down from us. I took these this afernoon against a grey overcast sky. I love the purple carpet it leaves when the flowers are dropped.

You are not wrong Paula, I've one in my back yard too, and the carpet of purple's gorgeous, messy but gorgeous. Mines not quite as big as in your photos but it's getting there. I'll try to remember to take pics before all the blossoms fall. And thanks for coming to visit my blog too!
